So I started a diary.

It's actually really useful- for several reasons- first of all, already I can read it back and remember the seemingly small details of a day which it gives me so much pleasure to recall, and also because it makes a change from the big old pad I'd used to scribble dreams down in.

Here's an example of one of my most recent dreams, from just this week. First, it should be said that the other day for PSHE a lady who was severely epileptic came to speak to us, and actually had a several 'absenses' during her talk. Now, the dream. It was set in the interior of this beautiful building, with all manner of wooden rafters and candles instead of lights, like an old cottage where you expect a lovely array of cakes to be pulled from the oven at any moment.

However, it transpired it was part of a programme being made for television; a gameshow of which I was a part. We (myself and the other 'contestants') were about to undertake our latest task which was based upon recent research that stated "the first signs of fear people show are indicated via their eyes and nose". To test this, the show organisers had set a series of tests whereby the contestants walked around and had things happen to them, and you were instantly out of the game if you moved your eyes or nose in fearful protest.

It began, and some women were instantly out when they discovered parts of the walls and knick-knack-ery were electrified, and thus, screaming, they lost the task. It became very boring at this point- people just started to stand still, so the Big Brother-esque 'organisers' were sent in to command us to perform tasks that could make us potentially lose. I had to touch a electricity current and eat from the scum residue of an after-meal plate left to rinse in the sink. I succeeded here, and then we were informed that there were only 3 contestants left including me. I saw one of them- a poor boy had been made to craft a piece of contempory art with hot candle wax, whilst keeping the flame on his fingertips, but he lost in his burning agony.

So it was just me and another, and the rules stated that we had to facae each other and make each other blink or wiggle their nose in apparent distaste. The other contestant appeared from the cupboard where she'd been hiding the whole time- it was the 50 year olf epileptic!! I remember, as we squared up, thinking "oh my god, I'm to be the boy that is forever remembered as giving a poor epileptic a televised fit just for his own selfish gameshow gain!"

Thankfully, Classic FM woke me before any moral grounds had to be broken.

On another note, I bought Hypnotize and realised that as well as fitting to make a perfect double album with Mesmerize, it also makes the two into one continuous epic about a man and a woman, war, drugs and prostitution, and the awful illusions of a Hollywood lifestyle. Already I've danced the night away on many occasions to Daron's part-rap in 'Stealing Society'

Also, Ellie introduced me to Spaced this week, which I LOVED so much. Today I won an Ebay auction to get a collectors edition of all the series plus extra discs. It is so very, very awesome, and well worth a look.

And I got to listen to the Kaiser Chiefs album, which up until this point I had been criticising with everyone else- it's actually great, and reminds me of the 80s music I adore.

Aaaanyway, I'm being far too unsociable to my family and crave more of the fine Beaujolais Red they're providing.
